The 4 things worth putting in a question
Most poor replies come from a question that was clear to you and underspecified for a reader who knows nothing about your situation. Naming the goal, the constraints, the attempts and the wanted form fixes more replies than any phrasing trick.
A chatbot answers the question as written, and the question as written usually leaves out the part that decides the answer. The 4 items below are the ones most often missing, in order of how much they change the reply.
The goal, not the step
People ask how to do a step they have already chosen. Naming the goal lets the reply point out that the step is unnecessary or that a different step is better. This single change turns more useless answers into useful ones than any other, because it restores the option of disagreeing with the premise.
The constraints that rule things out
Time, budget, tools available, what is not allowed in your situation. Without them a reply lists options you cannot use, and the list looks like an answer. Constraints are what makes ranking possible, and ranking is the part you came for.
What you already tried
This removes the first 3 suggestions before they are written and signals the level to answer at. It also prevents the most common frustration, which is receiving advice you followed yesterday. 1 sentence is enough.
The form you want back
A list, a paragraph, a table, 1 sentence, a decision with a reason. Saying so costs a few words and beats editing the reply afterwards. This is also the request that survives best, because formatting is an instruction rather than a judgement.

Should I explain who I am?
Only when it changes the answer. A profession or a level of experience is useful; a biography spends the budget that the conversation needs.

It matters on every one of them. Removing the filter changes what may be discussed, and it does not tell the model anything about your situation.
